Is the cold weather and rainier days getting you down? Well it sounds like you need some fun activities to look forward to this November. Here are some interesting and exciting activities you can consider this November in Bristol.

 

First up… and it’s nice and early:


Bristol Christmas Market

Dates: 1st Nov- 14th Dec


Opening on the 1st November the Bristol Christmas market is set to be better than ever! With the Christmas express kids train ride, escape room, candy factory and 35 stalls there will be plenty to explore. The food offerings are looking equally exciting with Yorkshire pudding wraps, Churros, German bratwurst and much more there is something for everyone. With singers, DJs and live bands the Christmas atmosphere is sure to be in full swing, paired with a mulled wine or beer in the jager ban bar the perfect festive evening awaits.

 

70 years on: The extraordinary legacy of Matisse at hidden gallery

Dates: 1st Nov- 1st Dec


This November the hidden gallery, renowned for its exceptional artwork displays will be honouring Henri Matisse with their tastes exhibition of the Modern Master of colour. Henri Matisse innovations made him Picassos greatest rival, and earnt himself the reputation of being one of the greatest colourists of the 20th century. The vibrancy and fluidity of Mattise work has been capturing audience’s attention for decades, his world has had international impact.

 

The exhibition will include regional lithographs and etchings from Matisse cut out series that were begun in 1950, almost at the end of Matisse life. The artworks will be available to buy and on display in the Clifton arcade in Clifton village from the 1st of November. In motion at Motion

Dates: until 22nd Nov


In-Motion has an incredible line-up for 2024 including artists: Tod Terry, Marshall Jefferson, Graeme Park, Interplanetary criminal, Soul mass, Skeptic, Amy Dabbs, Miley Serious and GIA. Voted as DJ Mag’s 11th best club in the world and the UK’s best large club, Motion is one of the world’s most exciting and ever evolving venues. South Bristol History Festival

Dates: October 1st- November 30th 


In collaboration with historians, writers and performers south of the river, Bristol Radical History group are putting on a selection of events uncovering the hidden histories of Bristol. Featuring history talks, panels and a walk the history festival offers a great selection of events to submerge yourself into the past. From women prisoners transported t Australia to the radical face of Bedminster before and after WW1 there is so much to explore. With all evens free to attend you simply can’t miss out!

 

Après Ski lodge launch party at Racks bar and kitchen

Dates: Opening 1st November


Racks Bar and Kitchen will be hosting their iconic Après Ski Lodge pop-up, this event is free and is certified to be a great way to kick-start the festive season. Sponsored by Campari, Aperol and Espolon tequila Racks will be completing he full après ski experience.

The ski lode will be fully immersive and open during November and December so find a Christmas jumper and prepare for an excellent alps themed night out, with Mulled wine ice luge shots and frozen cocktails- what else could you want.
